Support Connection

Our Mission

Support Connection is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Our mission is to provide emotional, social and educational support services to women, their families and friends affected by breast and ovarian cancer. The support provided enables women to help each other and empowers them to become their own health care advocates.

Our office is located in Yorktown Heights, NY, but through our toll-free telephone line, we provide support to people nationwide.

Our Commitment

We are here for you. Regardless of where you are in your journey with cancer, we are here for you. From diagnosis, throughout treatment, recovery, and beyond, we help you navigate the changes you experience as a result of living with breast or ovarian cancer.

If you’re dealing with any stage of breast or ovarian cancer, or if a friend or family member has been diagnosed, we are dedicated to providing you with personalized attention in a warm, caring and compassionate way to meet your needs.

Our Unique Approach

Our program is staffed with Peer Counselors, professional counselors who are cancer survivors themselves. They have walked the walk. They know how it feels to hear the words “you have cancer,” which makes all the difference in the world. These Peer Counselors answer calls to our local and toll-free numbers. They provide individualized counseling by phone and in person. They help you find resources and information to answer your questions and meet your needs. They plan and implement all of our other programs, insuring that each program is presented from the point of view of someone who has experienced cancer.

Our Services

All of our services are free of charge. They include:

One-on-One Peer Counseling, locally and via national toll-free telephone
Resource and referral information, locally and via national toll-free telephone
Breast and Ovarian Cancer Support Groups, locally and via national toll-free teleconference
Educational and Wellness Programs
National educational webinars and toll-free teleconferences
Newsletters and educational materials
A lending library
Social activities and special events where you can meet other cancer survivors
Contact Us

You can call our local and toll-free numbers anytime during office hours Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm New York time. After hours calls are returned the next business day. Call us at 914-962-6402 or toll-free nationwide 800-532-4290. You can also reach out by email at [email protected] and we will make sure to reply to your questions.
